27yrs old…5′ 9″…171lbs.
Currently on a cut (reducing my caloric intake) aiming for 165lbs before September. After which I will start bulking (increasing my caloric intake) back up to around 185lbs. I float around 2000 calories when I’m cutting and 3000 when I’m bulking. I keep my diet as simple as possible but flexible.
This cycle of winter bulks and summer cuts is how I manipulate the look of my physique in a nut shell (I’ll go into more detail in later posts). I learn something new about myself and try to better my physique from the previous year.
So how did I get into bodybuilding and fitness? Well, it all started with that clip. The very first YouTube video I saw of Arnie from his Pumping Iron documentary (I highly recommend watching the whole documentary if you haven’t already). I was 16 at the time and had never seen anything like it.
The dedication, the passion, the journey these huge guys were on to sculpt their bodies! I loved it all, and from then on, my journey began. I read the magazines and followed all the popular fitness YouTubers (you’re an OG if you know who Scooby is). I digested all the information I possibly could, starting on the floor of my small room with cheap dumbbells, to my local gym 3-4 times a week.
What’s the end goal? There is no end goal. This is a part of my life. I want to be that guy who still works out in his 50s and still has a great physique. But I now want to help others achieve their own fitness goals by sharing my knowledge and experiences.
So stay tuned if you’d like to learn something new or relearn something you knew. I will be posting new topics every week, and documenting my own progress.
Below, my current physique, in what can only be described as world class posing! (yes, my gyms elevator gives the best lighting!)
Oh and one more thing. I highly recommend taking pictures of yourself every week or so. Don’t be that guy that shakes his head when he sees someone posing; you’re the one making progress not him.
